The Café has two eating areas: a cosy, intimate room indoors; and a delightful outdoor garden with shady trees. It serves a wide range of light meals, with scrumptious home made cakes a specialty. A variety of hot or cold drinks are available. A catering service is attached to the Café. A safe, fully enclosed children’s playground is situated right beside the Café, within sight of both indoor and outdoor eateries, making Foster Place an ideal spot for parents to meet |

Situated conveniently beside the Café, the Gallery is used regularly to showcase the work of the George Gray clients. It may also be hired by outside artists for exhibition purposes. The Gallery space is able to seat up to 40 people and may be hired as a venue for seminars, workshops and meetings as well as for private functions, with presentation aides available such as: Data Projector; Whiteboard; Overhead; TV/DVD/Video. With the attractive views into the gardens and the catering service at hand, it’s hard to beat. |

George Gray participants conduct a gardening service which includes lawn mowing, pruning, landscaping, planting, general cleaning up and maintenance. They also undertake regular activities on a contract basis. All employees with a disability are employed under the Australian Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union Award. Their award rate is also determined by a work rate assessment, carried out by Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services.
