Overland
Graham, your guide from Overland Gold Adventures, is not only
a local but also a third generation gold miner who knows the area like
the back of his hand. His aim is not only to take you on a 4-wheel driving
experience through the mountains of East Gippsland to explore the old gold mines, mining
towns and steam engine battery sites but also to give you the opportunity
to experience first hand the thrill of gold panning, digging for thunder
eggs and agates or just fossicking around.

| We operate in the
Alpine region of Gippsland, in south east Australia, an area rich in
gold mining history. Our base in Stratford is easily accessed
via the Princes Highway from Sydney or Melbourne. |

Transport |
|
We provide all
your transport needs while on the tour. If you require it,
arrangements may include airport transfers, interconnecting flights
and overland travel. Once in the "gold fever" region we head bush in
our fully equipped, modern 4-wheel drive vehicles, which provide a
high level of comfort.
From our base at Stratford we take you northbound
into the mountains to the historic towns of Briagolong and Dargo and the former
gold exploration locations of Grant and Crooked River.

Accommodation |
|
Provided in the
region by local well established business, we offer choices ranging
from basic cabins, real country hotel rooms, bed and breakfast and
motels. All meals are included in the tour package; bring some extra
cash, you may want to "shout" the locals.

Equipment |
|
All basic mining
equipment is supplied for your adventure including gold pans, shovel
and crevicing tool. We even arrange your Miner's Right.
|

Clothing |
|
Be sure to pack
suitable clothing and footwear, remembering the nights can be cold in
the Alpine region, even in summer.

Insurance |
|
We suggest you
have your travel insurance in order.
